Course Description:

Supply Chain Management’s (SCM’s) mandate in an organization is to provide value creation. One of the best ways to accomplish this is through exercising due diligence. Merriam-Webster's dictionary defines due diligence as, "research and analysis of a company or organization done in preparation for a business transaction."

Market Intelligence is due diligence at a highly organized and highly productive level. What distinguishes Market Intelligence from a simple one-time act of due diligence is that Market Intelligence is on-going and pro-active. Applying Market Intelligence best practices has many benefits.

1. Receive and interpret relevant supply chain information

2. Mitigate against volatile price changes

3. Lead smarter negotiations

4. Make stronger contracts

There are many sources of information and collectively they can be overwhelming. This workshop can show you how to filter out unnecessary data and only take what is truly relevant for your strategies. It will also teach you how to make sense of the continuous raw data stream, and more importantly, translate it back into actionable strategic recommendations for management.

The Market Intelligence knowledge you will acquire here will give you a unique supply chain perspective that you cannot find in other Market Intelligence courses. The workshop material combines real experience with hands-on activities that allow you to apply the material first hand.
